Brilliant! For a while, I have been thinking of a Jon McLaughlin song to post. I was thinking and thinking. I didn’t look at the songs I had in my computer, I was relying on my memory and the impression that a certain song must have given me. If it was a good song, it will leave a mark. I was considering this song called “Perfect” but felt it wasn’t quite enough and it doesn’t go well with my intent of how I want to portray Jon. This new song, “What I Want” was brilliant but I thought it too light and breezy, kinda. I dunno, just didn’t fit. Then I thought of this new bonus track called “Forever I Ever” but I thought it was waay too new. You don’t get me, but I’m weird like that. I just didn’t want to out something that new. Anyway, like the earlier ones, it didn’t fulfil how I want Jon to be perceived. I mean, because I feel that I haven’t given him justice. Honestly, much as “Beautiful Disaster” is an amazing song, there are songs that impressed me more and I felt that I was being unfair to Jon to not show you his greatness and genius. HAHA. That really nagged on me. 

Today, I just found the right one. I chose this song because when I first heard it, try’na listen to the words and internalize and all, the reality of what the song was saying dawned on me and it was just so sad a song. Underneath it lies an intriguing love affair of sorts and the person singing this is just full of desperation that whatever he is offered, may it be something good or bad, he would hold on to anything he can grasp and he would hold on it would two hands. AAAWWWWW! HAHA. Or maybe he's punishing this woman. Yeah, I really think so. You can guess how.
